Cary Boy Falls 26 Feet at Starved Rock State Park
An 8-year-old boy has been hospitalized after falling 26 feet into a canyon during a hiking trip.
The Chicago Tribune is reporting that on Sunday evening, an 8-year-old boy who was hiking with his parents in a restricted area at Starved Rock State Park, fell 26 feet in a canyon.
The boy was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria and treated for head injuries.
According to the Chicago Tribune, officials are investigating the accident and indicated that charges are pending.
