Coffee Grinder From Late 1800's

Bringing you the weekly photo of the Harper-Freeman collection that the Village of Cary now maintains.

In the Village Hall's weekly email description, the coffee grinder "was first owned by the Grandfather of Mrs. Idyll Arps Walkoe."

Mrs. Walkoe grandfather, "who was the first Section Foreman for the C&NW Railroad when tracks were being laid for the railroad," wrote to Betty Freeman, "I recall my Grandfather with this grinder between his knees each morning grinding the coffee for that day."

The grinder is from the late 1800s

All the information in the above description and the photo was provided by the Village of Cary weekly email.
